About the event
WDM Democrats is hosting a free advocacy training workshop on Saturday, January 25, from 10am to 2pm at the Iowa State Capitol.
We will be joined by guest speakers, former State Rep. Marti Anderson, Morgan Miller with ISEA, House Democratic Leader Jennifer Konfrst, and State Sen. Sarah Trone Garriott. Attendees will leave with:
A better understanding of the legislative process
Strategies to make your voice heard this legislative session
Advice from elected officials on the best way to communicate with legislators on issues
The training is open to all members of neighborhood Democrat groups in Polk and Dallas counties.
